Gary Holland is inspired by the beauty and grandeur of Paradise Valley, Montana, where he makes his home and his Native American heritage which fuels the passion for messages he whishes to convey through his art.
As a child, Gary grow up in the Appalachian Mountains in Maryland. His work in Geology for twenty-two years provided the understanding of nature and all of its interrelationships.
" I like presenting the elements of my art in detail because for me it would show a lack of respect for Mother Earth not to paint Nature Realistically. I paint from from my heart and hope to convey my feelings onto canvas. If only one person appreciates and understands my intentions, then I have succeeded."
